Message from the Director, Food Security & Nutrition Directorate
Food security and adequate nutrition are essential for the wellbeing and resilience of communities. The Food Security and Nutrition Directorate works to address food insecurity and nutrition challenges affecting vulnerable populations across the Somali Regional State.
The directorate conducts food security assessments, monitors nutrition conditions, and supports programs that improve preparedness and response to food and nutrition emergencies.
Working in collaboration with government institutions, humanitarian partners, and development organizations, the directorate promotes coordinated interventions that strengthen food systems and improve nutrition outcomes.
Through improved monitoring, coordinated response mechanisms, and strengthened partnerships, the directorate contributes to protecting livelihoods and improving the overall wellbeing of communities across the Somali Regional State.
