The Disaster Risk Management Bureau works to strengthen systems that help communities understand potential hazards and improve their preparedness to face risks that may affect lives and livelihoods.

Our region is exposed to different types of hazards, including droughts, floods, conflicts, and other emergencies that can affect pastoral and agro-pastoral communities. These realities make it important to promote awareness and strengthen preparedness measures that help communities reduce vulnerabilities and respond more effectively when challenges arise.
